Format and Delivery
For years I had such severe anxiety that my doctors thought I might have a heart condition, Crohn’s disease, or some other mysterious auto-immune disorder.
It felt impossible to be vulnerable, to let people in, to love myself even a little bit.
Then came 2 severe car accidents 11 months apart - both of which were painful and traumatic to my body and nervous system, leading to injuries to my neck, jaw, shoulder, hip, and lower back. In fact one of those car accidents broke my neck and lead to years of pain and depression - all the while being told by doctors and physiotherapists that I should be grateful that I wasn’t paralyzed and that I would simply have to accept being in pain for the rest of my life.
To which I said “absolutely the fuck not”.

These were some of the tragic catalysts that stole years of my life, plunging me into hell, then forcing me to rise.
